REFERENCES

This gallery presents a selection of relevant architectural design projects in which ceramics plays an important role. The buildings were selected according to environmental and social sustainability criteria. These projects show how each stage of the complex construction process - from the design to the selection of products ending up to the final use of the building - is an occasion to define  methodology and  practice for the global sustainability. The projects collection, under continuous updating, takes into account excellence cases of certified buildings  (LEED, BREAM or HQL). These are special achievements in which ceramics is technologically integrated aiming at energy saving. In particular this is well exemplified by eco design (ventilated walls, brise soleil, raised floors, etc.) and finally by architectures characterized by functional and esthetic values aimed at improving overall the quality of life. These are works in which through a new perception of space, the use of ceramic products is pushed to the most expressive stage. Surfing trough this section is simple: it is possible to use the menu on the left to choose a single selection criterion for projects (for example, if the name of the designer is known: design), otherwise it is possible to match several criteria using the advanced research modules hereunder. Enjoy your surfing!
